I remember Niles from my childhood. My father owned a car dealership in nearby Fremont in the 1960's. The California Zephyr train stopped at Niles. We boarded there and took it to Chicago a couple of times.

There are also places in the East Bay (SF Bay Area) like Saranap, Alvarado, Niles, Centerville, Port Chicago and more that no longer officially exist.
