[IRCA] KTRB off tonight

A check of the dials earlier than usual tonight found mediocre
conditions but also the fact that KTRB-860-Modesto CA is again off the
air.  Getting ready to move the whole shebang to S.F. I'd guess.  Well
I'm glad to have a chance to pick up a couple I still needed on the
frequency.  There a few other interesting stations heard as well:   PDT
used..........

 790  MT  KGHL  Billings w/several call ID's at 2007 4/9

 750  MT  KERR  Polson 2010 thru KOAL/KXL with c&w music.  Still noted
an hour later.  Looped NE.

 710  AZ  KMIA  Black Canyon City most likely the station with SS Oldies
type music, mixing with KIRO talk 2013-2020+.  Both in tight null of
KFIA.  An hour later there was no sign of this fellow.  Heard a few
times before with different calls.

 750  TX  KAMA El Paso..again with decent signal 2110 with Mexican pop
music mixing with KXL/KOAL looping SE.  Been pretty regular this week.

 860  CA  KTRB  Modesto..noted totally off at 2115 check.

 860  OR  KPAM Troutdale..atop but weaker than normal 2115 with
news/talk & many Portland/Oregon mentions.

 860  BCN  XEMO  Tijuana...quite weak, normally under the mess but from
2135 on grew stronger with Mex music & talk.

 860  NM  KARS  Belen...no doubt the one who popped up for about 15
minutes with 'Ole Buttermilk Skies' and several other c&w songs.
2115-2130...@2124 had ads with several mentions of Albuquerque.  Faded
down after 2130...Heard once before on equipment test in 1966.  Heard
from NW Iowa in the early 80's at sunset.

 860  AZ  KMVP  Phoenix...assumed the one noted very briefly 2125-27
with ESPN Sports. Rose up to the top briefly then quickly dropped out of
sight.  Heard under 3 or 4 other calls in the past.  Looping SE

 860  UT  KKAT  Salt Lake City..popped up out of nowhere at 2133 with
calls & city location.  Looped NE at the time.


The Prince Rupert BC station used to power thru KTRB in the past.  Have
they succumbed to the FM bug by now?  No sign of them tonight.
