I bought one of these years ago - I really liked it and wrote several 
glowing reviews of it at the time - but what has really impressed me about 
it is that even thru our move to Louisiana in '98 and the girls both 
knocking it to the floor and chipping or breaking one end of it, it *still* 
works like a champ! Now, mine came out just before the AM extended band, 
and you can hear  it "drop off" right around 1610 kHz; I told Gerry about 
that a while back and I bet he's fixed that. It is GREAT for pulling a 
signal out of a jumble!
