Sign on announcements with ID & Radio SWH address. Local pop
music. ID & Radio SWH address also at 1954. Poor, very weak
signal. Just too weak to catch any further program details. Signal

**SYRIA. 12085, Radio Damascus, 2110-2210*, August 26, Local 
music. English news at 2115, followed by more local music. News 
summary at 2208. Abruptly off the air mid-song at 2210. Very strong 
carrier but somewhat low modulation & slight hum in audio. Better on 
// 9330-but slight QRM from WBCQ in reduced carrier LSB on 9329.63.
