My opening line was meant to convey that John, in my view either make the case yourself or flag something which has more depth than Mr. Durrant's letter. The title of the thread is also to me over dramatic.
I've no problem with the debate, indeed I am not a fan of rolling news programming per se, it means you get too much instant reaction and not enough research and analysis. That together with the let's break the story first agenda.
