Interesting article regarding PRI's new morning magazine, "The Takeaway" from the NY Times. An interesting quote in the article: "Long term, nobody needs a terrestrial radio station". Which leads to wondering -- how long, exactly, is 'long term'? Another interesting talking point in the article is the role of the local radio station nowadays... Worth a read for those interested in shortwave...I suspect many of us started to listening to shortwave programming before NPR (and PRI) gained the stature they now enjoy. Richard
