The Forum

BBC Diplomatic Correspondent Bridget Kendall is the host of The Forum,
BBC World Service's weekly discussion programme about ideas, on Sunday
4 May.

This week's programme features writer Agnes Desarthe whose first novel
to be translated into English, Five Photos of My Wife, was nominated
for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize.

And Afghan ambassador to Germany Maliha Zulfacar, co-director of the
documentary Kabul Transit, asks if it's possible to convey the
complexity of human life in a city where world's major news channels
are reducing everyone to a set of images?

Presenter/Bridget Kendall, Producers/Emily Kasriel and Estelle Doyle
