Forward from the Radio Studies list. Producer Sean Street has the  
following two programs coming up which I thought would be of interest  
to this list.


> The first is marking the anniversary of the first BBC Promenade  
> Concert, and goes out on Radio 3 as the Prom Interval Feature on  
> Monday, 13 August at approx. 8.25pm.

> The second  programme is an Archive Hour, Saturday, 1 September at  
> 8.00pm, BBC Radio 4. It's about Marie Slocombe, crediting with  
> being the guiding light in the foundation of te BBC Sound Archive  
> back in the 1930s. Not long before she died, she recorded an  
> interview - intended originally more as a record of events and  
> facts than for transmission - in which she tells the story, and  
> makes a few somewhat startling confessions, from the safety of the  
> "beyond"! I have used this recording as the basis for the programme.

> The BBC Promo notes for both programmes are attached in case the  
> subjects are of interest.
