Since never. He's just wrong. In fact almost his entire analysis of
satellite radio insofar as it relates to XM vs. Sirius is off the
mark, IMHO. He's right about the available receivers, though one
pays a premium of a couple of hundred dollars to have a "wearable"
one; but Sirius' BBC feed is far more than a "headline news version"
and WRN is not at all available on XM and never has been. In fact,
the latter's public radio offering is limited to BBC (Americas feed)
and a single channel only partially programmed by PRI. Pretty weak
when compared with carriage of CBC, two NPR channels, one entire PRI
channel and the aforementioned WRN. Add to that CBC (with two hours
of RFI) in French, BBC in Spanish... Well, you get the picture.
He's just wrong.
