My guess is that Eton feels the Grundig name nowadays doesn't carry
the cachet it used to...which is why nearly all the Grundig receivers
they make/market are also marketed as Eton receivers.

Grundig as a company is bankrupt, I believe...not sure who owns the
name for what products.  Grundig will probably be like the Polaroid
name is here in the US -- the Polaroid company behind the instant
camera is also defunct.
