I agree with one of Rich's comments.  I thought DRM was supposed to be more 
efficient powerwise.  How does using multiple transmitters save power or 
make things simpler.

This thread reminded me of a couple of articles that I read about digital 
TV.  After testing digital TV  technology, they found that either repeaters 
or multiple transmitters would be needed to cover the same service area as 
the current analog signal.  I don't have a source for this information.  Has 
anyone heard anything similar ?
