Of course, on shortwave there was RNW's Happy Station and BBCR4's
Letter from America (run on BBCWS).

I note that according to Oscar Brand's web site (oscarbrand.com), the
ex-pat Canadian singer  has been doing Folk Song Festival on WNYC
(wnyc.org) since December 1945.
