Witin the precincts of Kumamoto Castle, in the city of Kumamoto in 
southern Japan, in this old pond. Double-flowered cherry trees along its 
banks come into bloom each year in April, and when they fall, the pink 
blossoms offer a lovely color-contrast atop the gree floating waterweeds.
