	TUINI NGAWAI - The Ngati Porou composer Tuini Ngawai (1910-1965) is 
not well-known outside the Maori world, even though many of the 
300-plus songs she composed are still sung all over Aotearoa-New 
Zealand.  The songs were often based on popular tunes of the day, and 
were written for different occasions, such as the departure of Maori 
soldiers to serve in the World War II.
