information. Includes, at 0330, MUSICAL CHAIRS - "Tommy Adderley" is
one of New Zealand's best loved singers. A popular entertainer since
his arrival from England in the late 50s, his repertoire ranged from
rock 'n' roll to skiffle to jazz standards. Through the 60s he recorded
and toured with Peter Posa, Dinah Lee and Max Merritt. He later formed
his own group, Headband. Adderley died in 1993, but before he did, he
recorded a lengthy interview for the National Library's oral history
project, beginning with his account of his childhood in wartime Britain.
