You said it!  I think your observation is 100% accurate.  If not, it certainly has the appearance of forcing listeners away from it.  And, as many *true* experts have pointed out continuously, when the chips are down (and when reliable sources for information are most needed) domestic distribution of international voices can be (and are) dispensed with summarily.  They have no answer for this and once they convince listeners to throw away their shortwave radios, there will be no answer.  Even e-mail can be interdicted as the Chinese prove every day.
