[Swlfest] For those interested...

My apologies for this not being strictly
radio/Winterfest related but this is probably my best
ways to reach many of you in one swoop!

I had the pleasure of speaking with many of you at
Winterfest, including a number of you in an impromptu
session on Friday evening, regarding my birding
activities.  Many of you were interested in viewing
the public photo album which I have set up on the
Internet, so here is the link.

Bird Fair is an annual event in Montreal arranged by
our birding club; Birding Spots are photos of some of
our favourite birding locations in the Montreal
region; and Ile-aux-Basques are pictures from a
weekend field trip we made to an isolated island in
the St. Lawrence River, near the town of
Trois-Pistoles, QC.

The man album though is Bird Photos.  These are all
photos taken by either me or my wife, Darlene, of
birds we have seen.  The photos have been taken using
a technique called "Digiscoping" which is using a
digital camera mounted to the lens of a spotting
telescope.

The camera used for these shots is not that
sophisticated.  It is a Canon PowerShot S-400 Digital
Elph.  The scope however is high-end; a Swarovski
AT-80, 80mm scope.
