Re: [IRCA] July Rockwork 4 DXpedition-- Top Ten Signals from the South Pacific

Thanks for your comment on theÂocean cliffÂrecordings, Walt.

I'm sure that the high point for this DXpedition was the chance to chase DU's together with the Japanese DXers, and make some lasting international friendships. Already there are plans for future joint DXpeditions at this site,Âas well asÂparticipation by North American DXers in Japanese DXing sessions. The Japanese have been especially fascinated by the modified Ultralight radios, with both Hiroo and Satoshi bringing two such homemade models to the ocean cliff this month. Speaking of 738-Tahiti, Satoshi made an awesome video of his S9 reception of the station on his stand-alone 3" FSL Tecsun PL-380 model on the last day of the DXpedition.

Gary, thanks for providing such great audio clips. Â738 is sure an
impressive signal, matched here in Victoria by Colin Newell's phenomenal
set up these days! Â73, ÂWalt
