[IRCA] TP 27 Mar Victoria version

Quite a productive morning for CNR1, and from a fairly early hour, though not strong in most cases; definitely there will have been a number of signals overall that I missed. 972 1242 and 1566 still had weak audio at 1435UT.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

um, probably. I wasn't paying much attention to the usual big guns.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

558 HLQH soft music //603 1341UT
567 JOIK man and woman in Japanese 1246UT //594 and quite a bit stronger
594 JOAK man and woman being dramatic in Japanese 1345UT
1053 Korean jammer 1358UT, pretty much the only Asian signal just now
1570 KUAU faded up to full ID just before 1400UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

693 JOAB man in Japanese //774 at 1221UT; if not for CBU splat would be perfectly readable
945 CNR1 slow music, man talking 1340UT //6125
981 CNR1 noted //945 1214UT; also noted as early at 1136UT at this strength, man in Chinese
1242 JOLF woman in Japanese, rock music 1240UT
1548 4QD ponderous orchestral music, man talking mentioning ABC radio 1353UT
1566 HLAZ two men, one in DU English to confuse the issue, the other translating ? into Chinese 1215UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 HLSA soft music //603 1341UT
639 CNR1 man talking //945 Chinese inflection 1244UT
1017 woman talking, maybe Korean 1308UT
1098 CNR1 organ music 1349-51 UT //6125
1206 Yanbian? woman talking, Korean seemed likely, 1211UT; off channel
1323 CRI nearly imaginary chimes and fanfare at 1400UT
1521 morning mystery, man talking 1353-4UT, sounded DU English? Better on west Flag
1575 VoA still in 1408UT, possible SE Asian talk

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 702 711 819 891 954 1035 1089 1107 1116 1422 1539

best wishes,

Nick
