Re: [IRCA] Skwayve with 7.5" Loop stick mod

Hi Les,

The CC Skywave 7.5" loopstick transplant has always been a very popular modification for DXing, but the modification procedure is quite a bit more challenging than that for the Tecsun PL-380 model (which uses exactly the same loopstick), and asÂsuch, the process has never been written up. The location of the loopstick connection points on the RF circuit board is pretty awkward. Despite this about 6 of these models are in use around the world (5 were made here, 2 of which are in Japan. Guy Atkins has also made a model, I believe). The models perform extremely well, with sensitivity superior to that of the related PL-380. If time allows (after the completion of the PL-380 FSL transplant projects) there may be time to write up theÂmodification procedure prior to the summer DXpeditions.

Canât seem to find much on the web. Has anyone seen any details on how to perform this mod?
