[IRCA] TP 17 Jan Victoria version
Most of the DX went to Alberta again this morning, but with a late
sunrise enhancement favoring 1575 mostly
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ organ and choral music 1408UT, peaking at 1412UT w/man in
Chinese; faded away after about 1420UT
1575 might have made it for brief moments; it was pretty erratic
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB music before 1000UT pips; too much splatter to really be very readable
1575 likely VoA, fading in 1541UT with woman talking, peaking
1547-52UT with man talking to another man on phone; SE Asian language
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
972 HLCA? pips in splash followed by instrumental music 1000UT, man
talking shortly afterwards, made a couple of appearances until after 1330UT
1053 Korean jammer 1000UT
1593 man talking 1550UT, maybe //6175, but too rough to be sure
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
738 828
best wishes,
Nick
