[IRCA] TP 16 Jan Victoria version

Most of the DX went to Alberta this morning, but there was a (very) mild sunrise enhancement

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not today

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese 1318UT; a tiny bit of audio 1524- 1537UT, could have been man and woman in Chinese. Slightly better on north Flag

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

972 HLCA? androgynous male ballad 1331UT, a few minutes later, man and woman talking, but too weak to tell language, possibly Korean? Signal crept in and out for next 20 minutes, but mostly gone by 1400UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

774 no pips at 1400UT, but man talking, maybe Japanese 1401UT
1116 man talking 1544UT, sounded like DU English inflection, maybe a commercial?
1557 jazzy female vocal 1546-7UT, Taiwan?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

738 1323 1386

best wishes,

Nick
