[IRCA] TP 7 Dec Victoria version

Actually a fairly interesting morning, with action at various times, some good peaks, and a couple of DU's to spread things out a bit.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

747 JOIB pips 1500UT, "NHK hoso" by woman //774, fading up to this level just after the hour
774 JOUB 1459UT woman in Japanese peaking just before the pips on the hour
972 HLCA 1454UT, woman talking in Korean

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

738 Tahiti woman in French 1452UT, then into island vocals
828 JOBB English lessons 1429UT
1053 Korean jammer faded up to this level 1348UT
1116 4BC man in DU English talking to another man on the phone peaking at 1454UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

612 4QR ABC mentions by man, then ABC fanfare, this at the early hour of 1000UT
1575 likely VoA? androgynous ballad 1526UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

702 male ballad 1519UT, didn't seem //612 which was weak with talk, or with NHK2
855 4QB/4QO ABC news fanfare, woman talking 1500UT
891 woman talking, Japanese inflection? 1522UT; had heard NHK style pips at 1500UT
1566 woman talking, maybe Chinese 1527UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

837 873 936 1008 1026 1098 1206 1242 1287 1386

best wishes,

Nick
