[IRCA] 26 September 2015 TP/DU Victoria B.C. As good as it gets... so far. (PART ONE)

With over 50 channels in audio at times, this mornings session was one for
the win column.
It might have had something to do with a fresh new antenna, A W/NW Flag at
286 degrees remotely adjusted
with a Connelly VACTROL unit -- or just that the conditions were just gosh
darn good.

Last night there were some signs of TA activity in Victoria with 2
threshold carriers (that started with a tip
via e-mail from DX veteran Nick Hall-Patch.)

Anyway - onto the logs - with lots of video!

Session went from 1305 until 1410 when I packed it in -- and there was
still a lot of activity - but my warm bed summoned.

1308U - 558 - (UNID) OM talking in the "fairly clear" which was most likely
Japanese but could have been Korean

1312U - 972 - KBS - Korea - bell ringing levels with usual KK talk and
occasional solemn music - https://youtu.be/zHjCUK-bWr0

1314U - 860 - CBC Prince Rupert - Coastal weather - at amazing levels
completely clear on channel. https://youtu.be/n9lA97XUcuo

1315U - 890 - KBBI Homer Alaska - alone on channel with BBC radio content

1317U - 1566 - FEBC Korea - JJ OM at impressive levels - likely the best
signal of the morning - https://youtu.be/7gB5hOGsD7I

1322U - 873 - NHK - JOGB Kumamoto - EE/JJ lessons above the local buzz on
this channel

1323U - 657 - DPRK - Pyongyang - 1st time I have heard this in a LONG time
with strident YL harangue in Korean

1326U - 1098 - UNid - China? - Strident YL-OM in Chinese / no question
about the language / def. not Korean or Japanese

1327U - 1575 - VOA - Thailand - banging in at times pushing passed 1566 for
strength supremacy

1330U - 1053 - S. Korean jammer - usual stuttering mess of garbage with the
occasional appearance of a relaxed Japanese
speaking OM - https://youtu.be/aS_lWrOjPLY

1331U - 702 - Mix of 2 or 3 things scrapping it out on channel.

1333U - 639 - CHR1 - assume the strident CC YL with occasional bits of
orchestral music later - // 1098 Khz

1335U - 1017 - Tonga (t) assume the Island flavored music here at good
levels -

1340U - 846, 855, 864, 873, 890, 891 - tune up of activity on channel (at
this point there were over 50 channels in audio --
one of the times that an SDR for later analysis would be cool - but you
would spend hours replaying various segments of spectrum -
This is where "live DXing" is at its most fun! --

Cutting this into 2 sections lest it get rejected.
