Yes! Lots of new loggings from Central Minnesota with a D-Kaz oriented 260 degrees.

Hopefully a few people got to take advantage of the "good" conditions this
morning -
and to be fair, as Nick observed, the signals from the top tier were
blistering - as this report
will reveal - but not a lot of 2nd or 3rd tier discoveries...

Listening period: 1240 until 1357 UTC (Note - the action was in full swing
when I turned on the radio this AM)

1244U - 774 Khz - Japan - Armchair copy with almost no background noise.
Usual programming - lessons of some kind.

1248U - 594 Khz - Tokyo, Japan - " " " " " " as shown in earlier
YouTube video

1249U - 603 Khz - KBS 2 - Korea - very likely the KK with lively/cheerful
pops and occasional KK speaking OM - again at 1307
with even better levels - I have heard better levels on this station but
it was nice that it was holding its own.

1251U - 702 Khz - UNID - EE News items with decidedly DU lilt being ravaged
by 690 splatter

1252U - 828 Khz - JOBB Osaka - HUGE signal with typical NHK programming -
this was the first Japanese station I heard
during the 1975 season - along with the VOA in Okinawa

1312U - 873 Khz - JOGB Kumamoto - at 500 kw this NHK 2 regular should be
among the stations that reaches the furthest inland -
completely in the clear this morning.

1313U - 558 Khz - UNID - music in passing but did not hang around - pretty
likely Japan but could have been KBS 2 (should have checked 603 for
parallel)

1323U - 972 Khz - KBS 1 - Korea - easily pushing 970 aside for channel
dominance - typically the 2nd loudest Korea signal on the dial next to 1566
Khz

1325 - 1575 Khz - VOA Thailand - pegging the S-Meter with Viernamese -
somewhat better strength than Korea 1566 at times.

PART THREE Later --

Receivers: Drake R8 with North/North West Flag | 27' High / 45' Long /
VACTROL remote control termination (usually set around 900 ohms)
with Wellbrook FLG100 Flag Amp. -- AOR7030+ (on loan from Eric Floden)
mated with ALA100M 12' loop in APPLE tree at around 6' above ground.

This season is kind of significant for me in that this is the 1st time I
have had a purpose built outdoor medium antenna since the late 1970's!
It's a feel good homecoming and I thank Nick Hall-Patch, Walter Salmaniw,
Gary Debock, Guy Atkins, Chuck Hutton, Mark Connelly and Nigel Pimblett for
their encouragement. This is all very exciting stuff.
