[IRCA] TP 18 Aug Victoria version
Again, pretty dead until about 1220UT, and then an odd mix of
Japanese, NZ and Australia. Lots of carriers near audio, with the
bulk likely to have been New Zealand, I think.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 came close
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti? pop music 1223UT
774 JOUB man talking then distinctive voiced woman, some English
words and phrases crept through
1548 4QD poking its nose through splatter paid off 1300UT with ABC
fanfare and "ABC news" by woman
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 man talking 1253UT
747 JOIB? woman and man talking 1221UT, woman sounded very like the
English lessons woman.
756 woman singing 1223UT
909 Star, woman talking //963, 1302UT
963 Star, woman talking //909, 1302UT
1116 erratic fading, but man sounding like DU English 1247UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
675 828 972 1008 1035 1098 1296 1386 1476 1566 1593
best wishes,
Nick
