[IRCA] TP 28 Apr Victoria version

Quite a step down from the last couple of mornings.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

back to normal...

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1566 HLAZ "What a friend I have in Jesus" on the piano 1230UT, and was able to pick out familiar portions of the Japanese s/on announcement, nihongo hoso indeed.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

the above, passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

738 mostly just the bass line of the rhythmic pop mx, occasionally vocals would surface amid the splash 1051UT 702 laid back vocal mx 1138UT, woman talking 1140UT was too far in splash to say for sure if DU English. Maybe "Magic" the latest NZ occupant of this channel?
1287 woman talking rapidly, Japanese inflection 1203UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

best wishes,

Nick
