[IRCA] Fwd: [NRC-AM] WBBM IBOC off, raging AU cx on.

--- Begin Message ---
Though WBBM IBOC has no effect on this end any night, here is a 770 / 780 / 790
status report from listening tonight here on Cape Cod.

770 = Colombia and Cuba
dope-slapping hapless WABC

780 = Radio Coro is boss here and ZBVI pops through
it at times. Other distant Spanish in mix is more likely Colombia rather than
more-desirable Paraguay. WBBM typically isn't that much of a factor unless I
point a rotatable loop right at it. 780 has been a good DX candy store since
CFDR-NS went dark a few years ago. There's a Brazilian (Recife) on the channel
too but I've only heard that one at beach sites, not at the house.

790 =
typical WPRV-RI + WAXY-FL + Reloj Cuba scrum. Occasional second Spanish is
probably Venezuela. Occasional third English likely WNIS-VA.

Chicago area DXers should be DXing on 770 and
790 tonight as at least now WBBM
IBOC is off. This tends not to last very
long.

Cx are quite AU as I am
getting almost no skywave from any northern path
clear. 770 had a nice Radio
Formula Monterrey ID. 790 has SS mixed with Cuba and
isn't Mexico City so it may
be someone I need.

I've been recording towards
TX/Mex but will switch over to
due south unless the AU ends before ToH.
