[IRCA] TP 20 Mar Victoria version
Two periods of DU signals, one around 1200UT, and the other around
1400UT....plus just a hint of HLAZ.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
no, though 4QR showed promise
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
612 4QR did quite well at various times, peaking just after 1400
w/ABC news, death of Malcolm Turnbull, former prime minister at
1403UT for example, quite readable in splash.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
702 2BL man in DU EE //612 1352UT
738 Tahiti? pop mx 1230UT
774 3LO, 6 pips, ABC nx fanfare 1200UT
792 4RN woman talking, news //612 1204UT "you're listening to ABC
nx", then split off to music 1205UT
828 3GI interview //612 1356UT
891 man in DU EE, woman on phone 1356UT, nothing on hour, assumed 5AN
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
576 man talking, DU English inflection? 1408UT
594 3WV man talking, pips on hour, ABC nx fanfare //774 but slightly delayed
792 4RN woman talking, news //612 1204UT "you're listening to ABC
nx", then split off to music 1205UT
855 4QO/4QB slow vocal mx //612 1347UT, very weak
1116 4BC? man talking, DU English inflect 1339UT
1566 HLAZ traces of Japanese s/off piano mx 1344UT, only Asian, only
upper band, extreme minimalist DX
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
567 621 837 846 882 909 1179
best wishes,
Nick
