[IRCA] TP 20 Mar Victoria version
One of those mornings where, if there was time, you'd just play back
dozens of channels individually, and something would fade up
eventually....certainly, there was things that were missed, but time
marches on.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK woman and man in Japanese 1337UT
747 JOIB Chinese lessons 1352UT
774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1346UT; s/off for NHK2 again today was 1440UT
828 JOBB Chinese lessons 1351UT
954 JOKR 1401UT woman singing a capella, oriental sound, then man in Japanese
972 HLCA man and woman in Korean 1337UT,
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1413UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 JOIK man in Japanese //594 1307UT
891 JOHK man in Japanese 1358UT
1053 JOAR assumed with man in Japanese 1342UT
1134 KBS woman in Korean 1403UT, taking over from JOQR
1242 JOLF woman talking after music 1416UT //1332
1287 JOHR man in Japanese, another on the phone 1333UT
1332 JOSF woman in Japanese after muic 1416UT //1242
1422 JORF sounded like Enka ballad, then man in Japanese 1411UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
702 NHK2 woman in Japanese //774 1310UT
873 JOGB woman talking //774 1302UT
945 CNR1 woman in Chinese 1411UT
1134 JOQR distinctive chime and pip on hour 1400, then high powered
Japanese talk by man
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
612 4QR odd man out with ABC fanfare 1300UT
666 JOBK woman talking //567 1345UT
846 NHK1 synchros man in Japanese //594 1303UT
864 woman singing emotional ballad 1353UT
909 JOCB man talking //828 1351UT
945 NHK1 synchros woman talking //594 1415UT
981 CNR1 woman talking then man, //7365 1344UT
1044 CRI woman talking //7410 1407UT
1143 woman talking Chinese inflection 1352UT
1224 JOJK woman talking //594 1415UT
1314 man talking, Japanese inflection 1410UT
1323 CRI Kitaya mention, last of chimes 1400UT; again very weak
considering the strong carrier
1386 NHK2 Chinese lessons //774 1347UT
1593 CNR1 man talking //6125 1357UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
621 639 657 918 936 1008 1035 1089 1098 1116 1179 1188 1197 1278
1359 1458 1575 seemed to be Asian; 1098 1548 seemed DU
best wishes,
Nick
