[IRCA] Alberta TPs for 5 March 2015
The low band stations from Japan were the stars of the show today,
on what would definitely rate as a good morning for this season. Japan
on 594 had it's best showing of 2015, and 693/747/774/828 all did well
at times too. Listened from 1309 to 1400.
594 JOAK, Japan Talk by a woman and man in Japanese at 1309. Up to good
level by 1322.
639 UNID Faint audio traces at 1323.
693 JOAB, Japan Missing early, but showed up by 1324 with man in Japanese.
702 ABC Sydney, AUSTRALIA Aussie-accented man speaking in English at 1324.
747 JOIB, Japan No audio at 1309, but soon came up with man in Japanese
at 1317.
774 JOUB, Japan English language lesson at 1310. Noted later with good
quality at 1335 with Chinese lesson.
792 UNID Traces of woman speaking at 1341.
828 JOBB, Japan English lesson, //774, at 1311
936 UNID Faint traces of audio at 1322.
1188 UNID Traces of audio at 1342
1287 JOHR, Japan Bits of Japanese noted at 1341
1566 HLAZ, Korea Woman in Japanese at 1309. Stayed pretty poor until a
peak around 1342 pushed it to a good level for several minutes.
A bit of an enhancement shortly before sunrise (which is now 1355 here),
but really only seemed to benefit the mid and upper part of the band. A
lot of carriers today, with strong ones on 567, 873, 954, 981, and 1386.
73,
Nigel Pimblett
Dunmore, Alberta
