[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-13

Hello All,

Asian signals were dramatically improved this morning as a fairly generous sunrise enhancement boost just after 1500Âlifted signals on both the low and high bands. 603-HLSA had its best signals of the new year (good on peaks), while its Chinese co-channel also made a fair appearance.

At my 1430 start time the band didn't sound very promising, with only 594-JOAK and 1566-HLAZ having fair peaks in and out. Signals stayed fairly subdued until sunlight prevailed around 1500,Âat which timeÂboth the low and high band got a serious boost. 603-HLSA came out of the noise with its Chinese co-channel, while 594-JOAK's NHK news reached a good level. 693-JOAB also reached a fair level, but for some reason the other NHK big guns on 747, 774 and 828 never seemed to get untracked.ÂThe Korean big guns on 972, 1053 and 1134 were also missing in action despite the boost. The high band regulars on 1503, 1566, 1575 and 1593 (CNR1) all received a seriousÂdaylight kick,Âwith 1566-HLAZ, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1Âin and out of the splatter with good peaks. 1575-VOA still had a weak carrier goingÂas late as 1540 here-- almost unheard of at this mediocre landlocked location. Overall the session was pretty interesting, and the 603 mix was the first time that HLSA and China haveÂhad much of a competition hereÂin 2015.
