I had the same experience this evening at the "local" Radio Shack the next
town over.  The staff were getting ready to do some sort of major
inventory, but other than a couple components on clearance, it was business
as usual, with only one other customer in the store.  (I did log a new
station on the car radio shortly after our 6pm sunset on the way there,
1050 KCAA Loma Linda CA.  Can't count it on the home log, but it goes on
the list to try.)
