[IRCA] TP 22 Jan Victoria version

What a difference 24 hours makes. There's probably still things on the recordings that I've missed, but almost all Japanese this morning; 1566 was there, but tended to get lost in the crush.

Signals peaked before 1500UT, but still plenty left afterwards, last ones heard around 1700UT I think, but I haven't got that far in the recordings yet (just looking at the signal strength monitor).

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

747, 774, 828, 972....all sorts of times
1287 JOHR JJ pop mx, woman in JJ 1456UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1503 JOUK violin mx 1453UT //594

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

558 JOCR ballad 1421UT, but announcers were JJ;
567 JOIK man talking //weaker 594 1359UT
612 JOLK man in JJ //594 1446UT
864 unID man in JJ 1451UT, not //1287
693 JOAB man in JJ //774 1439UT
837 JOQK man in JJ //594 1449UT
873 JOGB EE lessons //774 1426UT
738 Tahiti man and woman in FF 1420-2UT
1008 unID pop mx briefly at this level 1449UT
1134 JOQR man in rapid JJ 1441UT
1242 JOLF man in JJ 1511UT (cuckoo pips at 1500UT were weak though)
1593 NHK2 mx box s/off

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

585 JOPG man in JJ //594 1513UT
702 NHK2 man in JJ //774 1433UT
729 JOCK pop piano mx //594 1435UT; this is rare at home
846 NHK1 synchros man in JJ //594 1513UT
891 JOHK man in JJ //594 1440UT
909 JOCB man talking //774 1446UT; also heard last few bars of mx box 1544UT
945 NHK1 bits of mx //594 1437UT, man talking as well, maybe //1593, similarly weak
954 likely JJ talk 1443UT
1179 likely JJ talk 1430UT
1386 NHK2 mx box s/off 1543UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

639 918 1098 1143 1197 1224 1269 1314 1323 1422 1458 1575

best wishes,

Nick
