[IRCA] TP 17 Sep Victoria version

A lousy morning...until about 1335UT....when the low band Aussies started to appear. Everything finished quite suddenly just before 1400UT, not surprisingly.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

4QR was close....Aussies can be quite readable but also quite weak when local splatter is disappearing with sunrise.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR man in DU EE, perfectly readable (if not understandable, going on about some government program) 1338UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

756 NZ? man in DU EE, 1328UT, no parallels
792 4RN soft vocal mx 1344-5UT, IDd by several earlier parallels
819 NZ? man in DU EE mentioning BBC World Service, 1342UT, no parallels
936 4PB? man and woman talking DU EE, sounded like nx items 1355UT, but gone by the hour. Started fading 1357UT, just as I found the web stream for ABC NewsRadio. One to check in future.
1116 4BC man in DU EE 1351UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

576 2RN soft male vocal mx 1340UT //792
621 3RN soft vocal mx //576 1342UT
702 2BL man talking //612 but leading it very slightly 1353UT
738 Tahiti? vocal pop mx 1216UT
774 3LO woman in DU EE //612 1341UT
846 2RN soft vocal mx //576 1342UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

594 675 855.054 (this is N.Korea's offset oddly?) 882 909 1008 1098 1458 1503 1584.024

best wishes,

Nick
