[IRCA] TP 16 May Victoria version

Nothing on the X-band here, but a few other things of interest this morning.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

Not quite, but 1548 would have been close if it hadn't been for 1550 splash; their carriers were within 10 dB of each other occasionally

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1548 4QD. Man in DU EE 1224UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

 the above passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

738 Tahiti? Man talking 1101UT FF inflection?

1323 unID. Man talking, sounded DU EE rather than Russian, though no other DUs noted at this time and 1566 sounded CC. Plus, not much listed as likely for DU, so maybe I was mistaken and it really was CRI...

1332 unID. Man talking rapidly; sounded DU EE, 1217UT

1566 HLAZ? Woman talking 1146UT; CC inflection

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

1287 1503 1611

best wishes,

Nick
