Hello All,
<<< Heh Gary, keeping track of the ionospheric gods is simply a new age
religion. Utterly legitimate, and not to be questioned by those
less enlightened. >>>
Well, Nick, apparently the "new age religion" is wearing a little thin in April-- and may need to wait until around September for a major revival?
It was another lackluster session here this morning, although 738-BEL2 did manage some poor to fair audio around 1303-- making its first appearance in quite some time. The session started off here at 1300 with several low-band Asians already in anemic audio, including 531-JOQG, 594-JOAK, 603-HLSA and 738-BEL2. The high band seemed unusually depressed at the time, without the usual potent signal from 1566-HLAZ (or any other high band Asians). At 1303 the unlikely station 738-BEL2 had the best audio on the band (fair), while the usually vibrant big guns on 693, 972 and 1053 were down in the noise. The band lurched toward daylight around 1315 without much improvement, except that 1566-HLAZ and 1575-VOA came out of the noise briefly to reach fair levels before collapsing around 1320. "Sunrise enhancement" was again a fizzler here, with only 594-JOAK (fair to good), 603-HLSA (poor) and 738-BEL2 (poor) still around at 1330. These three die hards fought it out with the domestic spl!
atter until around 1335, when they also fell victim to the lackluster propagation. None of the Asians ever reached a very vibrant level here this morning, although 594-JOAK hit a few fair to good peaks around 1330. Such was the story of another dreary spring session.
