Radio World has a nice article out about comments filed with the FCC by
the National Alliance of AM Broadcasters. While DX'ers may not agree
with all of them, I think we would favor the majority. I also applaud
their response pointing out that "half measures" (which the FCC is very
fond of) will only prolong the demise of the AM Band.
Saving it will require some bold action. The elimination of corporate
influences such as IBOC would be a great place to start. Time to admit
that the emperor has no clothes (IBOC won't work on AM) and move on to
another digital solution, or better analog fidelity.
