The marginal conditions continued today. VOA-1575 was the only genuine
bright spot this morning, with a rather nice signal for about 15
minutes. The electrical noise was stronger than average, but it was
locally generated so it doesn't count as TP DX :)
Good - Would have been armchair copy for a few minutes, if not for the
electrical noise
1575 VOA, fair-weak with the usual English IDs 1430, then it started
to fade up with Burmese program. Reasonably good strength at times
1431-1447, but electrical noise made reception rougher than it should
have been.
Fair - A native speaker could recognize a few words now and then
747 JOIB, man & woman with English lesson 1426
774 JOUB, man & woman 1408, listed as Korean lesson. Better at 1500
with pips, music bridge, then man in Japanese.
Poor - Barely above the noise and fighting lots of splatter
693 JOAB, partial time pips 1400 & 1500
972 Woman talking 1424
Carriers 594 738 1566
