[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-15

Hello All,

As Dennis has already reported, the low band Asians were fairly energetic this morning. Unlike yesterday, however, some high band TP's also had potent signals, with 1377-CNR1 having its best audio of the new year shortly after 1500 here.

This morning was my first session with the second new FSL antenna developed during winter experimentation-- a 12" model with the new, monster 660/38 Litz wire. This Litz wire is far and away the largest I have ever seen or heard of-- equivalent in diameter to AWG #10 wire. Manufactured by China's XiZi company, it provides exceptional sensitivity for those hobbyists who can tolerate its weight and its price ($75 for 30 feet).

The first session with this new FSL was a lot of fun-- it can provide audio from ICF-2010 TP carriers which seemed too weak to chase with previous FSL models.

Anyway, the session started at 1430 with several low band Asians already managing fair audio (594-JOAK, 603-HLSA, 639-CNR1, 693-JOAB and 747-JOIB), as well as good signals from 1377-CNR1 and 1566-HLAZ. The increasing daylight after 1450 brought up the signals of the low-band Asians, with 594-JOAK reaching a very good level at 1455, along with good signals from 603-HLSA (with a weak Chinese co-channel), 639-CNR1 (with a Japanese-sounding co-channel), 657-Pyongyang and 693-JOAB. 1377-CNR1 came up to a very good level in 1380 splatter around 1510, and in addition to 1566-HLAZ (very good) 1503-JOUK, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1 also had fair signals on the high band around 1505. 603-HLSA had the best staying power of all the Asians this morning, continuing with fair audio up until 1520, when it started to bail with the other TP's. Overall, it was a very interesting session because the new FSL antenna, which should prove to be fairly potent in ocean cliff DU-DXing.
