It was an interesting morning here. Reception was reasonably good up
and down the dial today. The lower part of the dial was the best it had
been in quite a while, with very good signals on 693 and 774. The upper
part of the dial was not as impressive but there were a few catches to
be found. Unlike other mornings, there was almost nothing in the way of
TP's until1400, and then a brief but nice enhancement at 1500.
Alaskans were audible in a big way at about 1500 today, with KCAM-790
being the day's crowning achievement.
Good - A native speaker would have understood most of it
670 KDLG, BBC pgm to 1459, local ad, mumbled ID, then NPR news 1500
o/KBOI
693 JOAB, man in Japanese 1508 amid much CBU splatter

780 "KNOM in Nome, It's 6 o'clock" o/KKOH 1500, then ABC news with
slight echo (KNOM & KKOH are both ABC)
774 JOUB, quite good wrapping up the day's Chinese lesson 1359, 3+1
pips 1400, then KK lesson
890 KBBI, quite loud with Democracy Now pgm, then jazz fill 1459.
Legal ID for KBBI & FM in Kenai then marine weather by woman, way atop CJDC
972 HLCA, man in Korean 1505, sounded like news program
Fair - A native speaker would have recognized individual words and phrases
640 KYUK, weak ID, then NPR news 1500
747 JOIB, English lesson 1433
790 "This is the voice of the Copper River Valley, KCAM Glenallen"
1458, then National Anthem u/KGMI
1422 JOSF, 1500 sounded like they marked ToH with 2 pips then
electronic notes or chimes, weak at the time. Better 1503 with JJ
conversation.

1566 HLAZ, woman in Chinese, signal a bit subdued today 1441
