Today's conditions were similar to the past few days. The best
reception was at about 1300, followed by a dropoff in strength from 1330
to about 1500. There was a modest sunrise enhancement for a few minutes
after 1500.
For once, I was able to hear a handful of low band signals during the
enhancement . Most of them were weaker than they had been a couple of
hours earlier, but JOAK-594 had its only audio of the morning during
that period.
Good - A native speaker would have understood most of it for very brief
periods
594 JOAK, man in Japanese, unsteady signal briefly good 1508
972 HLCA, 1309 man & woman in Korean
1566 HLAZ, 1331 briefly good with Japanese woman, otherwise fair-nil
today
Fair - A native speaker would have recognized a few words
774 JOUB, orchestral music, then man in Japanese 1230.
Poor - Recognizable program content
693 JOAB, woman in Japanese //774 1329
747 woman with JJ-like inflections 1327
828 faint talk 1340
1422 weak female talk 1502
1503 JOUK, time pips 1500
1602 NHK, weak pips & faint talk 1500
Carriers 567 738 837 1404 1431
