Another morning owned by HLAZ which was quite thunderous at various
times from 1445UT to after 1530UT, but there was a fair bit else of
interest, and mystery, as well. Old regulars made themselves felt
at various times after 1300UT, then a bit of a quiet period after
1400UT, picking up again before 1500UT, with most emphasis then on
the higher band.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ huge w/man in CC 1507UT, but was constantly surprised by
stumbling over it yet again, blowing down the walls
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB CC lessons 1353UT
972 HLCA vocal pop mx 1357UT after KK talk by man, pips on hour
barely heard, but this returned after hour w/woman in KK
1179 JOOR assumed. High octane JJ talk by woman followed by pop mx
1525UT, best on W. Flag
1575 VoA "welcome to Voice of America in Burmese" announced by man, a
messy channel w/several carriers including one about 40Hz low
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
747 JOIB CC lessons 1349UT
1314 JOUF assumed, JJ talk by man 1522UT; mixing earlier w/likely DWXI
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
567 JOIK? snatches of JJ sounding talk by man 1515UT
603 HLSA? just a bass line sneaking through 1531UT
828 JOBB? man talking JJ? 1312UT
1278 unID male ballad traces 1513UT
1467 unID androgynous vocal mx 1509UT
1503 JOUK traces of NHK1 theme mx, then man talking //1584
1584 NHK1 as above and //
1287 JOHR? man talking JJ inflection 1428UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
558 639 873 1008 1053 1323 1332 1377 1386 1422 1431 1476 1494 1512
1539 1548 (best on N. Flag with a number of carriers, one about 35Hz low)
best wishes,
Nick
