Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] 1240 unID - WJMA/WJNA now heard three times!

Does anyone else here ".3 WJNA" near the beginning of the clip WJNA-huh? It might refer to an FM, as in "92.3 WJNA" or somesuch. Seems like we need to do a search on all FM stations on a frequency ending in .3 with a "WJ" at the start of their callsign. Then see if any of them have any reason to simulcast on 1240.

I apologize for saying I was sure it was WJMC. I didn't mention it, but it seemed there was a tiny fraction of a second delay between WJM & the C, & now notice very indistinct short noise (letter??) that I was "sure" was a C. What's before sounds like WJNE on that one & WJNE on the 2 others as well. WJNE is an FM station in Bethany Beach, DE, that has primary coverage to MD. Think I saw the biggest town nearby is Salisbury?

Also, syndicated programs might mention affiliates. Worse yet, what if it's not call letters, but an abbreviation for some organization? So maybe contacting WJNE-FM & asking if they own anything on 1240 would be the last good chance. 73, George S., MN

I'm still thinking the one from the 5th could ever so slightly be be WJMC, but because I've had that one before, and I have also had WJIM often enough, I will let this trio go its merry way. I'm glad to have this one solved. I'm still going through multiple unIDs from earlier this month up here. Plus a few unattended graveyard recordings. Had to toss a 1340 that gave a partial KY phone number because two stations were mixing and one was an Indiana relog (Elkhart, which IDs as 95.3 MNC) - it was pretty well impossible to tell which was which. Sometimes it's better to toss when it becomes obvious it'd be a crapshoot and guess to log.
