576   MYANMAR Myanma Radio, Yangon 1447 19
October poor with odd musical theme, woman talking to 1452 in language I could
tell was not Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Tagalog. Later, Henrik Klemetz
listened and thought it to be Burmese.


702   NORTH KOREA KCBS/Pyongyang Bangsong,
Chongjin very poor audio on 702.038 but always putting a growl on Japan 19
October.


705   LAOS Luang Prabang 1430:45 p talk, a
bit of instrumental music, gone at 1431:15. 1435-1437 very poor music. Poor
carrier disappeared 1504:30 in accordance with 1500 sign-off. Not as good as my
2009 reception.


729   MYANMAR Myanma Radio, Yangon fair 1430
- 1453 19 October, usually dominant over NHK. Almost all of the reception was a
woman talking, including "a b c d e" in English and other items that
suggest an educational program as listed in the PAL at this time. Speech was
clear enough to be recognized as Burmese who listened to the recordings. New!


756   CHINA bunches of places CNR1 poor
1437-1444 19 October, mixing with another Chinese station that should be Hunan
RGD as it is the only non CNR1 transmitter. I could not get a parallel on 728
or 1152 so can't prove it.


801   NORTH KOREA Pyongyang Bangsong,  Hwadae poor, parallel 657 at 1402:40 19
October on 801.450. Within minutes, it was as high as 801.638 and as low as
801.437. Drifting too fast for decent sideband reception.


810   RUSSIA R. Rossii, Razdol'noe 1400 19
October fair to good with Radio Rossii ID. Just a bit better than KGO.


855   CHINA CNR2, various locations with poor
ID 1500:57 19 October.


864   SOUTH KOREA HLKR JBS 1, Gangneung fair
1438 19 October, parallel to 711.


918   SOUTH KOREA KBS1 Yeoncheon poor 1446 19
October with Eagles song parallel to 864.


1008  CHINA Chutian Guangbo Diantai, Xinwen
Guangbo, Huangshi, Hubei 1448 19 October fair with ""Hubei Guangbo
Dientai, Chutian Guangbo"" ID. Later replaced by Shaanxi GD.


1035  CHINA bunches of CNR1 stations with
echoed CNR1 ID 1400 19 October, not quite fair level.


1080  CHINA CRI Kunming 1430:15 19 October poor
CRI ID under Portland.


1107  SOUTH KOREA MBC Pohang 1459:56 19
October poor MBC chimes.


1143  TAIWAN BEL3 Baisha poor, parallel to
738 1302 19 October.


1188  CHINA CRI Xuanwei 1400 19 October poor
with CRI ID.


1197  JAPAN JOWL Asahikawa STV fair, parallel

1500 19 October poor, parallel to 1224.


1422  CHINA unknown, at times the best
Chinese signal on the band 1349 - 1523 19 October with no ID on the top of the
hour. From 1400 - 1500 the program was entirely a talk about medicines with no
breaks. Frustrating.

with flute music parallel 774.
