Re: [IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 12-22

Now it's light, I'm going to need to go out and check my antennas Gary. In Victoria, this morning was a complete hound, so far as I can tell, particularly near sunrise. The signal strength recorder says that I may have had audio traces on 774 828 and 1566 at various times, and I did hear some weak music on 1287 around 1550UT, but otherwise....even the carriers were weak.

best wishes,

Nick

Hello All,

Another very generous sunrise enhancement again brought in some energetic Asian signals this morning, but with variations from yesterday. During the listening session from 1510-1550 there were vibrant TP's on both the low and high bands, with 594-JOAK, 648-VOR and 1593-CNR1 the stars of the morning. Whereas 603-China was dominating the frequency over HLSA yesterday the situation was reversed today, and 648-VOR managed one of its best signals of the season around 1545 (just before collapsing with the rest of the Asians, as sunrise enhancement fizzled out). 1593-CNR1 had trouble getting through the Seattle splatter yesterday, but it was king of the high band this morning-- producing a monster signal at 1525 that was far and away the strongest that it's ever been received here in 7 years. A full report (with MP3's) will follow later.
