Re: [IRCA] TP 3 Dec, Victoria version

My SDR recordings weren't much different from what Nick reported. Today I had fragmentary audio on 774 and 1566 at around 1300. Also traces of real or imaginary audio on 747 and 972. I wondered for a while if I had my antenna switch in the wrong position, but everything was set up correctly. It was just a bummer of a morning for TPs.

Believe it or not, there was a touch of audio on the recordings, but there was no sunrise enhancement today. With a stiff wind blowing, it was easy to believe that the antennas were in a heap on the ground, except domestics were as loud as ever.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

738 Tahiti female vocal mx 1415UT, and into man in FF as level dropped slightly, hung in for the better part of 10 minutes. Got to take your enhancement where you can find it

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

738 passing through

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

738 passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

774 man talking JJ inflection 1355UT
972 woman talking, then mx like a string quartet, then talk again 1351UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

828 1566...that's it...

best wishes,

Nick
