[IRCA] TP 5 Oct Gabriola version

A mini DXpedition on Gabriola Island for the next couple of days. The
little bit of water path on the Japanese bearing seems to have made quite a
difference judging by Bruce's and Gary's reports (but no signs of China
here, and yes, 972 was missing). Using a west FLG100 here; the northerly
ALA100 had little DX in comparison.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at
least briefly):

774 JOUB man in JJ 1332UT and various other times

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by
a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK man in JJ 1412UT
828 JOBB, man in JJ 1331UT
873 JOGB man in JJ //774 1404UT
891 JOHK, man and woman in JJ 1351UT ; had been //594 earlier, but
weaker. JOAK was gone right now.
864 man in JJ 1353UT; then into chanting mx with drumming; quite
primitive sounding for Japan
1053 jammer 1355UT;
1116  4BC likely, DU EE man 1420UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise
could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB man JJ 1345UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at
by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

612 4QR? man talking, DU EE inflection 1419UT
846 NHK1 (JOCP) man talking //594 1414UT
954 JOAK? man talking JJ inflection 1358UT
963 NHK1 synchros woman talking //594 1412UT
1242 JOLF? man talking, JJ inflection 1402UT
1422 JORF? woman talking JJ inflection 1403UT
1575 VoA?  man talking SE Asian inflection 1350UT ;

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):

837 1008  918 936 1017 1089 1098 1152 1503  1566

best wishes,

Nick
