There's nothing quite like a geomagnetic upset to clear out the propagation
passageways a bit. This morning had some of the most interesting Asian DX in
some time....not loud, or consistent, but at least it was there, and only during
some brief enhancement around 1400UT.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
not quite
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 JOIK man and woman in JJ //594 1358UT
1287 JOHR woman in JJ 1357UT
1566 HLAZ man singing, woman in CC 1356UT, not quite at Gary's level, but not bad
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK woman in JJ //567 1355UT
738 Tahiti FF talk by man 1355UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
612 4QR? woman talking 1404UT, DU EE inflection
774 man talking 1359UT, no idea; should check the recording for pips on the
hour, but it didn't stay long
1422 woman talking 1358UT
1503 JOUK man in JJ //594 1402UT
1593 CNR1 woman in CC //6125 1403UT
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
1188 1269
best wishes,
Nick
