[IRCA] Yesterday and Today

No, this isn't about a Beatles album, as the subject line might imply. 
It's about TP DX from the past couple of days.

Monday's TP reception was rather lively all across the dial. Signals 
seemed to peak around 1330, with very few sticking around until 
sunrise.  Several stations had respectable signals, including JOAK-594 
which so far this season has been an underachiever here.  I also had a 
rather good carrier on 1089, which might've had audio if I didn't have a 
50 kw local on 1090.  Here's the rundown:

Really nice audio
-JOAB 693 nice with wx in JJ, clear "JOAB NHK Tokyo dai ini hoso des" 
ID, then English lesson with cheerful sounding announcers
-JOUB 774 Chinese lessons quite good 1339
-HLCA 972 lively conversation by man & woman in KK 1311
-HLAZ 1566 JJ talk 1340

Somewhat OK audio
-JOAK-594 making a rare appearance with pips & JJ talk 1300, man & woman 
in JJ 1308
-DPRK 657 woman in KK, 3+1 pips, then music 1400
-JOIB 747 EE lessons 1324
-JOBB 828 pips & weather 1300
-CNR 981 CC talk 1324, 5+1 pips 1400
- jammer 1053 fair at 1302
-Yanbian 1206 woman in KK 1304
- VOA 1575 woman in SEA language 1256

Today's DX was not nearly as good as yesterday's.  Like yesterday, the 
signals peaked at about 1300-1330.  Unlike yesterday, the opening was 
mainly at the low end of the dial, with minimal activity above 900 kHz.  
Signal strengths were down quite a bit from yesterday, too.
